MICROBIOGRAPHICAL TIMELINE
1974: Born in Indianapolis, an only child.
1978: Discovered Wonder Woman, developed penchant for dressing like her.
1980: Spent time alone reading and watching videotapes.
1988: Attended high school magnet program in theatre and humanities.
1990: Books convinced me it was okay to be gay.
1992: Voted most likely to succeed, enrolled in the School of Speech at Northwestern University.
1993: Mother died of pancreatic cancer.
1996: Wrote and performed a one man show about David Bowie, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Speech.
1997: Spent eight months in Seattle.
1998: Returned to Chicago, wrote a novel about man who discovers that everyone in the world has completely disappeared overnight, met Ken, my first significant boyfriend.
1999: Attempted monogamous married life and failed.
2000: Met Rob in chatroom, conducted a messy divorce from Ken.
2002: Moved into a two bedroom apartment in Lakeview with Rob.
2003: Completed three years as a bookseller with Barnes & Noble, wrote a book about the trials and tribulations of working retail.
2004: Hired by The Newberry Library as an assistant in Special Collections.
2005: Began a graduate program in Library and Information Science at Dominican University.
2008: Finally, at long last, completed my Masters in Library and Information Science.
